Christmas with the Virgin Queen

Local historianTerry John will launch our Tudor season with a festive talk:
“Christmas with the Virgin Queen” on Thursday 14th December at
7.30.

He will look at how Christmas was celebrated at the court of Queen Elizabeth I. -Customs, music, masques, -whether the custom of lord of Misrule was still practised – plus a few recipes for curing a hangover!

Terry may also produce one or two Xmas Tudor recipes (and we can recommend his fabulous cakes from past experience!)

Tickets cost £5.00 and booking is advised.
