Bards ‘n’ Shards Workshop, Exhibition and Celebration! #WOWW

In this celebration of Welsh women’s history and creativity there will be the opportunity to write poetry, share it in an exhibition of vintage china (upcycled by artist Linda Norris) and join together for an afternoon tea:

*On Saturday 31st July (10.30 – 3pm) there will be a poetry writing workshop based on ‘shards’. Bring along some found china, sea glass or a shard of pottery from a broken heirloom and be guided through a series of exercises to inspire your writing.

*At the end of the session, you will choose a line from your writing to appear on some vintage china as we celebrate the mudlarkers, resourceful mothers and housewives whose histories are fragmented or forgotten in time. This work will be created by artist Linda Norris in her studio.

*On Saturday 28th August at 3pm, there will be an afternoon tea for participants to launch an exhibition of the finished work.

*At the end of September, we’ll be in touch and participants will be welcome to collect and treasure their unique artworks as heirlooms of the future!
