Like hundreds of independent museums throughout Britain, Narberth Museum receives no funding from central or local government. with no regular funding, we rely on our supporters to continue the important work we do. As a charity, we have to raise the money ourselves to pay for the work we do.

The range and scope of work is continually expanding. We collect, display and care for the items that tell the story of narberth’s history. We are contantly looking for ways to make that history more accessible to all through exhibitions, events and workshops.

From preserving heritage to hosting wellbeing cafes; facilitating craft workshops to talks, exhibitions and educational opportunities, Narberth Museum is central to the community it serves.

If you value the work we do, please consider supporting us:

Donate

Regular or ‘one-off’ donations typically allow us to purchase items that benefit the collection or running of the museum. Examples may include artifacts of special significance to the heritage of the town or technology to gather and document information. They also allow us to develop our activities and contribute to running costs.

Any gift, large or small, will make a huge difference to our work.

Volunteer with us

Our volunteers play an important and valued role in the museum. We are always looking to recruit more to take on roles in the shop and coffee shop, to digitise the museum’s catologue and to help deliver our programme of activities and events.

If you choose to volunteer with us, you will be joining a friendly group of like-minded people and making a real difference to the continuing success of the museum. Contact us for more information.

Shop with us

Make a point of shopping with us. We are the only dedicated book shop in Narberth and one of only a handful in West Wales. We are continually increasing our stock of new fiction and non-fiction titles, and our range of second hand books is constantly changing. We sell and accept book tokens, can order books that are not in stock and have a selection of gifts and greetings cards.

Donate your unwanted books

Second hand books are an important part of our bookshop. Our volunteers sort and individually price each books to ensure that the museum gains maximum benefit from our donors’ generosity. If you have any good-quality second hand books you woul like to donate, contact us or drop them in when the museum is open.

Shop online

Shopping online is something that we all do, but by signing up to EasyFundraising you can raise money for the museum at the same time. This scheme will not cost you anything and is quick and easy to set up.
