Flower Folklore: A Talk by Terry John (Online)

As the museum wakes up from what feels like a very long winter, we’re kicking off our 2021 programme of events with this online talk by Terry John.

Month by month, Terry guides us through the wildflowers in our gardens and hedgerows, and their associated healing properties or religious and superstitious connotations throughout history.

Tickets are £5 and you will be sent a link to watch.

Narberth W.I. Centenary Talk #WOWW

Narberth W.I. celebrates it 100th birthday this year!

This local group have witnessed the  Great Depression of the 1930s, been instrumental in sustaining the Home Front during WWII and later observed the coronation of a new Queen in the 1950s. Their story  reads like a timeline of some of history’s  key events.

In this, another historic year, we take a look back at the beginnings of Narberth W.I. and how the lives of a few local women document an evolving world during the first half of the 20th Century.

Please note, this talk will take place on Zoom . Please email [email protected] to reserve a place or click the ticket below to donate. Either way you will be sent a link to follow on the date and time of the event. The talk will begin at 4pm on Wednesday 9th December and registration is free.

We’re delighted to be able to welcome you all back from Saturday 1st August! However, your safety is our number one priority and so there are a few changes to our usual routine:

2. We are restricting numbers into the museum and so there may be a wait and/or a booking system.
3. We ask that you respect the 2m distancing rule at all times and that you use the hand sanitizers around the museum, (particularly before touching the interactives).
4. Our coffee shop is still running on a takeaway basis until the rules change and we can be assured of your safety.
Thank you so much for your co-operation and for continuing to support us during these challenging times.
